Tonights Dinner: Orzo Chicken & Cheese
So, since my mom just put money in my account today, I haven’t the had the chance to go food shopping. Tonight, I made a dish with whatever I had left in my fridge and such.
Ingredients:
It’s pretty easy to make and it’s SUPER delicious! First, I get the water going. While that’s going on I throw the chicken into the microwave for how ever long the instructions on the back of the bag tell me [4 mins & 15 secs on 60% power]. Next, put a dash of salt in the water. Once it’s to a boil dump the orzo in for about 8 mins. Once the chicken is done, take it out and cut it up. When the orzo is cooked, drain it. Than put it back in the pot and place it on the stove on LOW. Throw some butter in there, like a tsp or something and a splash of milk, like 2-3 tbsp and preferably not spoiled. [OK it’s a sell by date. If it doesn’t taste sour than it should still be good, right? Whatever, I’m poor. I’ll take what I can get] Mix it all that up. Next you peel that cheese out of it individually wrapped packaging. Tear the cheese in to small manageable pieces and place them in the pot. Mix them well so that the cheese starts to melt, then toss the chicken in. Keep mixing until the cheese is all melted and you’re done, so put it in a bowl and eat it.
Basically, it’s like making Mac & Cheese, but with weird substitutes for the mac and the cheese.
